Although Western Land Title Company may be small, we have have partnered with Westcor Land Title Insurance Company as our underwriter. Westcor is the largest independent title insurance underwriter in the United States with no direct operations, and are one of the leading privately owned underwriters in the nation.
Western Land Title was formed in 1921 by William Snyder and is the oldest continuously running title company in Amador, serving the community for 100+ years. Western Land paved the way as the only title company in the Amador County region up until 1965. These early times helped us create the most comprehensive title plant in the County which is still maintained to this day.
When Judge Martin Ryan and Mary Ryan purchased the company in 1954, they adopted a vision to furnish realtors, financial institutions and the general public with quality title and escrow services in a timely, professional and friendly manner.
